Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd

Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Mission Statement

Walking together in Christ, we grow in faith and love to share Christ with the world.

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd is made up of people who believe we are loved and forgiven through the grace of God who has empowered us to love, forgive, and save others in His name. We understand our mission to be sharing the good news of God's love in Christ with each other in our congregational worship and activities, with our local community through our outreach program of love and concern, and with the world through our commitment to benevolence giving.

We further understand our discipleship to include
the nurture of worship;
the discipline of learning;
the importance of witness;
the responsibility of service;
and the commitment of support toward the fulfillment of the mission and ministry of our congregation.

We seek to live out our faith in cooperation with Christians of other denominations and other persons committed to peace and justice in our human family.

As we attempt to live out our faith and commitment in our daily living and as a Christian family, we encourage others to join us. We offer a community of warmth and an opportunity to join us in a fellowship of commitment in service of the Gospel and in response to the human needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
